I got the instructions from INA, and it worked just fine. I can hear directional sounds a lot better now that I installed the Audigy 2 drivers on my SBLive! card. However it's a little bit of work (mainly reboots). Here's the deal:

Download the Base Driver Package here (http://users2.ev1.net/~dallasstar/sb_install_multilang.rar)
Download the update for the driver package here (http://www.americas.creative.com/support/files/download.asp?Centric=280&nLangID=1&sDestURL=http%3A%2F%2Fwww%2Eamericas%2Ecreative%2E com%2Fsupport%2Ffiles%2Fdownload%2Easp&sRef=http%3A%2F%2Fwww%2Eamericas%2Ecreative%2Ecom% 2Fsupport%2Fwelcome%2Easp%3Fcentric%3D280) (just select your OS and download the "AUD2DRVL11021217.exe" file).
Download the "fix" here (http://members.aol.com/dvdking2001/Pub/ctcomp.exe).

1. Extract the base driver package and the update from the creative site to separate folders.

2. Run the "fix", browse to: "base driver package dir\Audio\Setup\" and hit "install".

3. Run the "fix" again, this time browse to: "update package dir\" and hit "install".

4. Proceed to uninstall your previous SBLive drivers and Software and reboot.

5. Go to the following dir: "base driver package dir\CTRun\" and run the file "CTRun.exe". Follow the instructions, then reboot.

6: Run the file Setup.exe in your "update package dir\" folder. Follow the instructions, then reboot.

7. Make sure the following is set in your UT2003.ini file: UseDefaultDriver=True
Setting this line to false will produce horrible results (at least on Live cards).

Have fun :)

Yeah, one thing I noticed is that UseDefaultDriver=True still is a lot slower than =False (with the old drivers) and the difference might not be woroth that at all...I'll test it a bit further...if you have a phat CPU you might not even notice this though :).

And the awards go out to:

Audigy 2 drivers + UseDefaultDriver=True for best sound

Latest SBLive drivers + UseDefaultDriver=False for best performer while not sounding like garbage

I'm back to the 2nd option...

Hopefully it's a non-issue for me. The temporary PC I'm using has an SBLive. My new one won't.
I'll try it though.
